The Shard

As the newest landmark building on the London skyline, The Shard is the tallest building in Western Europe and is now open to the public who can access its special viewing areas and platform.

Designed by Master Architect Renzo Piano, the Shard is over a thousand feet high and gives views across the whole of the London Bridge Area, including over More London, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and beyond to the boundaries of London and even the countryside beyond on a clear day. The viewing platform is almost twice the height of any other viewing platform in London and is accessed by high-speed ‘kaleidoscopic’ lifts – once there you can experience a 360 degree view of all of London.

Further thrilling views can also be experienced from the highest public level of The Shard when you will be exposed to the elements and sounds of the city around you, looking up you will see the shards of glass that form the top of the this extraordinary building as they disappear towards the sky.
